Veer Nari Foundation
India has around 25,000 war widows – the highest number in the world!
Most of these women are widowed at a young age and are often left with the unending struggle to survive their loss, raise their children and take care of their aging parents and in-laws.
The community and family play a major role in their financial matters and they hardly get the hold of their pension or the government grants that they receive after their martyred husbands.
At least 90 percent of them live in rural areas with lack of work opportunities nearby and relocation for work is never the choice for them.
Most of them are either under graduates or have minimal levels of education and so usually remain unemployed and financially backward.
Though the government tries it’s best to address their grievances related to pension, health care and other entitlements, there is a humongous need of focused projects and initiatives that would bring some hope and respite to the War Widows in the form of financial independence.
Hereby we find ample opportunity with the hospitality industry for these women through,
Creating an program which should be based on Cooperative Movement targeting only Hospitality Industry covering all Arm Forces ( Army, Air Force & Navy ).
Empowering Veer Nari’s with adequate Training & Handholding so that they stand on their own feet creating a model which could be dispensed at City, State & National Level.
Skill Development, Manufacturing & Creating Own Distribution Channels Across India starting from Pune followed by rest of India.
Starting own Hotel Management Institutions along with Craft Courses for above mentioned Forces so that families across Indian Terrain who are related directly to forces get the access and education followed by Employment and Sustainability to the families into our Industry across Globe.
Activation in Supply, Import Export & Trading Management for Veer Nari’s in our sector along with Small Medium and Micro Entrepreneurship across Hospitality sector of India.
