Dear Dr. Sanee Awsarmmel,
Chairman – ACOHI Asia.

First of all let me take this opportunity to apologize for writing this mail to you almost after the week of the event and at the same time I want to let you know that it has been one week to that wonderful day and it seems like it happened just yesterday.

Thank you so much for all the things that you did for me and my family. The little gestures of yours like stopping mid-way for Aazaan and then calling my family on stage and honouring my mother on stage to give me the doctorate says a lot about your values and highest emotional quotient. It was an honorary doctorate for me, but for my mother it was a lifetime achievement award.

My mother and my family cannot stop talking about the event that was planned so methodically. It also gave me an opportunity to interact with other dignitaries and I really feel humble to have been awarded this honour and this could not have been possible without your blessings and support.

My wife has put my certificate on the wall and at the strategic location in my drawing room so that every time I am leaving my house, it reminds of me of the greater responsibilities that I have towards the hospitality industry. I really want to be utilised in the betterment of hospitality education in India and bridge the gap between the academia and the hotels. The internships in our hotels must be an enriching experience for the students so that they are interested in building their careers in the hospitality industry.

I once again thank you for this honour and from everyone from my family we are full of gratitude for this event and honour

Thanking you

To,
Mr. Sanee Awsarmmel,
Chairman, Hospitality Industry of India and
Chairman, Asian Countries Chamber of Hospitality Industry (ACOHI)

Dear Sanee ji,
It was nice to meet you some days back and discuss several issues concerning the food and hospitality Industry. Through your good-self I was introduced to ACOHI and was impressed by the service it provided to the stakeholders in the line.

On a letter that I wrote to the CEO Zilla Parishad regarding the promotion of tourism in the District of Pune – in keeping with the requirement of making available short distance travel post the lockdowns due to the Covid pandemic so also the requirement to provide livelihoods to several who have lost jobs or seeking new ones – the administration and particularly the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister for the Pune district Shri. Ajit Pawar has shown keen interest to take this idea forward.

Pune District is endowed with interesting natural features and scenic beauty, several historical monuments and precincts, culture and art, spiritual legacy, wildlife and love for adventure coupled with expertise on several subjects ranging from history to peculiarities of animal and plant life, art and culture, architecture etc., thus making Pune district an ideal area for the promotion of tourism.

Needless to say that in this program food and hospitality play an extremely important component. Pune has a variety of cuisine which is peculiar to the areas and needs to be showcased. Cleanliness, service, presentation and hospitality can be enhanced with proper inputs from the concerned agencies. We seek the association of ACOHI, the Asian Chamber of Hospitality Industry to support and become a part of the abovementioned endeavor.

Looking forward to your association and cooperation in making this idea a reality.

Thanking you,
Regards,

Vandana Chavan
