CULINARY ID FOR PROFESSIONALS & EXPERTS - A UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

WHAT IS A CULINARY ID

Culinary ID is a unique identification program that is launched by ACOHI (Asian Countries Chamber of Hospitality Industry) for the individuals/organizations/corporates who are working or aspiring to work in the hospitality industry at a City, State, National & International level. It is similar to an Aadhar card that verifies one’s personal details, but it also provides information about one’s professional career and achievements in the hospitality field along with accuracy and background check of the applicant.

In this article, we will only focus on the Professionals/ Experts Category, which includes all professionals from the hospitality industry of India, Asia & World. A few of them may include chefs, managers of all departments, sales professionals, owners of hotels & establishments, teachers, catering colleges, trainers, consultants and other experts who are working in all the departments of the hospitality industry across India, Asia & World. HOW TO GET A CULINARY ID FOR PROFESSIONALS & EXPERTS

The Culinary ID process is marked by BOG (Board of Governance) of ACOHI and involves a series of paperwork and proceedings that the applicant has to go through. The process includes –
• Filling an online application form with personal and professional details.
• Submitting relevant documents such as educational certificates, work experience letters, awards and recognitions, etc.
• Paying a described & applicable fee to the ACOHI Treasury for the verification and processing of the application.
• Undergoing a background check and specialty verification by ACOHI experts as per the protocols of ACOHI BOG.
• Receiving a unique Culinary ID number and certificate after successful completion of the process.
• The amount paid to the treasury as fees in any terms & conditions is non refundable.
• In case of the rejection of application the candidate has to re apply with documents and query raised by the system of ACOHI with fresh fees for the said application.

The Culinary ID is only given for one year and has to be renewed every year as per the process of ACOHI BOG. The renewal is based on verifying the last year’s report card of Individual & professionals.

The pricing and application details of Culinary ID for Professionals & Experts may vary depending on the level of recognition and region. There are four levels of Culinary ID – City, State, National and International.

TIME FRAME FOR GETTING THE CULINARY ID

• Depending on the category of application and the level the time may take from 1 month to 3 months from the time of application as there is numerous paperwork and procedures.
• Applicants who are from outside India may take more time for verifications depending on their case and application.
